Inspired by the North Devon Southwest Coast Path, Rachel Stanton captures the raw, elemental energy of the coastline through expressive mark-making, fluid watercolour, and mixed media.

 

Their work reflects the ever-changing light, movement of the sea, and untamed beauty of the landscape, evoking both its power and fragility.

Painting is an intuitive dialogue between artist and environment, where wind, waves, and earth guide the creative process.

 

Through workshops and sketch-walks, they encourage others to connect with nature in a mindful, expressive way. At the heart of their practice is a deep reverence for the natural world—an invitation to see, feel, and protect the landscapes that inspire us.
