En Plein Air Workshop: Mark Making Sketch Walks with Rachel Stanton
Friday 25 August, 10am-1pm
Northam Burrows Visitor Centre
Please note that this workshop takes place at Northam Burrows Visitor Centre (not at the Burton!)
—
Find materials on the beach guided by artist Rachel Stanton, and create sketches inspired by the coast.
During this course, you will collect mark making materials from the beach and surroudning area of Northam Burrows. You will then be guided through some exercises designed to build your observation and gesture skills as well as build your visual memory and your ability to draw from imagination.
The found marking making materials, rock pool water, charcoal and a limited watercolour palette will be used to capture the elemental energy of the North Devon Coast. Bring your sketch books and your sense of fun!
Who is this workshop for?
