Created in "Lockdown" this seascape is inspired by my walks around the beautiful North Devon Coast where I live. I wanted to create an atmosphere at the end of a storm as it is passing away. The receding clouds moving over he headland and away over the moors with a chink of bright light emerging on the horizon. The waves are calming but still strong and turbulent enough to create a mass of spray as they crash into the rocks. The water slipping and spilling into the craggy cracks and crevices of the rockpools as it ebbs and flows with the waves. Lundy is hinted at on the horizon as your eyes are drawn to the light.
Currently on exhibition with the Westward Ho! and Bideford Arts Society online. The original has sold but I'm pleased to offer this as a Limited Edition Fine Art Giclee Print of 40.
